I was born and raised in the most beautiful mountain range in the world, Appalachia. I reside in Wild Wonderful West Virginia and have never had the desire to leave. There is culture and authenticity here, protected by mountains and valleys formed millions of years ago. I spent seven years working with my editorial staff and winning many West Virginia Press Awards, as Managing Editor of the Mountain statesman in Grafton, WV I currently reside in Morgantown with my "Bestest Buddy and Life-Long friend; Loki, my black lab mix who has been a tremendous help in keeping me calm when the words get jumbled. My dream is to see my book DESERVED!? reach as many hands and minds as possible. To make a difference in someone's life as a positive resource of compassion. If it results only in one adult stepping forward or one child being comforted, I will have succeeded.
